Toolink's premier line

Wilhelm König Workholding

Every König fixture is custom-designed for a specific customer, part or machine. It is engineered to your workpiece drawing — never sold as a stocked, off-the-shelf item. Toolink is the exclusive North American distributor and repair center for Wilhelm König MTM, a third-generation family business in Wertheim, Germany since 1946.

Why custom, not catalog

Your Part Sets the Tolerance. The Fixture Should Follow It.

A catalog chuck clamps whatever you put in it and hopes for the best. A König fixture is designed around your part's geometry, your material, and the operation you're holding it for — so the tolerance is controlled before the machine ever gets a say. Nine Wilhelm König MTM clamping-system families cover 5–800mm diameters to precision as fine as 3µm, all engineered to your workpiece drawing.

Three Ways We Hold Your Part

Custom-designed Hydraulic Clamping

Hydraulic pressure locates and holds the part concentrically, ideal for ground gear blanks, shafts and thin-wall rings.

S1 / S2Hydraulic clamping between centers — ±0.002mm roundness and run-out on ground gear blanks and shafts.
K1/K2/K4Hydraulic power clamping — 0.5% controlled elastic diameter expansion for thin-wall rings.
Custom-designed Mechanical Clamping

Mechanical location on a thread or a segment, built for repeat production of a part family on one fixture body.

G1 / G4Thread clamping — tolerance class IT13 and better, located on the functional thread.
E1 / E2Segment clamping — wide clamping range per body, part families on one fixture.
Custom-designed Quick-Change Systems

Zero-point and quick-change bases for high-mix cells and palletized production where changeover time matters as much as tolerance.

M4Zero-point clamping — ≤0.003mm repeatability across changeovers and palletized production.
H4 / M4Quick-change systems — sub-minute fixture swaps for high-mix cells, 5–800mm diameters.

These are product families, not a parts list — every fixture within them is built to order. Ask us which family fits your part.

Application Examples

S1 hydraulic clamping

Driveline pinion, Tier 1 automotive

Six months of chasing 12 microns of run-out on a hardened pinion, blamed on the grinder. A custom S1 hydraulic arbor between centers put the plant inside 3µm and stopped the scrap.

K-series power clamping

Thin-wall ring gears, aerospace

Thin-wall rings distort under a standard chuck. Controlled elastic expansion clamps concentrically without deforming the part.

M4 zero-point

High-mix instrument shafts, medical

Palletized zero-point bases let an unattended shift swap parts between operations without re-qualifying the setup each time.
