The Shigiya GSU-30B is a versatile CNC universal grinder designed for manufacturers that need to perform multiple precision grinding operations in a single setup. Its multi-process configuration combines OD and ID grinding capability, allowing complex components to be completed with fewer workpiece transfers and reduced setup time. Shigiya positions the GSU Series as a flexible solution for difficult workpieces that benefit from completing multiple grinding operations in one chucking.

With a Ø300 mm swing over the table, a maximum OD grinding diameter of Ø300 mm, and maximum ID grinding capability of Ø50 / Ø80 mm, the GSU-30B provides a broad working range for precision components. Center-distance options of 500, 750, 1,000, and 1,500 mm allow the machine to accommodate both shorter and longer workpieces, while supporting workpiece weights up to 150 kg.

The machine is equipped with two 7.5 kW OD wheel spindles and a 1.5 kW ID wheel spindle, providing the flexibility to perform external and internal grinding without moving the part to another machine. The OD grinding wheels measure Ø510 × 50 mm, while the ID wheel range is Ø13–Ø50 × 12–25 mm.

A major advantage of the GSU-30B is its ability to consolidate operations. By performing multiple grinding processes in a single chucking, manufacturers can improve part accuracy, reduce handling, shorten cycle times, and simplify production of complex precision components.
